PFA Dehra Doon, an independently Registered Public Charity since 1999, works to bring about a definitive change in the life of animals.
The various activities of PFA Dehra Doon include rescue, relief and rehabilitation of homeless and abandoned animals in distress. Besides rescue and relief PFA is also implementing Birth Control and Anti-Rabies Programme for stray canines in collaboration with Government agencies. We also fight against animal cruelty and work for the implementation of Animal Protection Laws.
We work in co-ordination with other Animal Welfare & Social Organisations to address various animal welfare issues. Our vision is to help AWOs set-up all animal shelters in various parts of Uttarakhand and also ensure their regular funding by engaging the system and facilitating policy decisions for the same.
"life is as dear to a mute creature as it is to a man. Just as one wants happiness and fears pain,
just as one wants to live and not to die, so do other creatures”. His Holiness The Dalai Lama.
